West Gippsland Catchment Management Authority is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their Corporate Services Team.
Job Description
The successful candidate will provide financial and business management support services, ensuring the organisation complies with relevant tax and corporate law. They will be responsible for financial monitoring and reporting, providing accurate and timely information to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake finance and project reconciliations
* Ensure Government funding is invoiced according to Service Level Agreements
* Comply with Australian Accounting Standards and regulatory requirements
* Provide financial reports in accordance with predetermined schedules
* Support the Lead – Finance and Compliance as required
Requirements
* Extensive relevant experience in financial systems and processes
* Able to improve and develop methods and techniques for financial reporting
* Understanding and application of Australian Taxation Legislation
* High level of computer literacy with accounting packages and Microsoft Office suite
