About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join us on this once‐in‐a‐generation project! Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for effective management of all project‐related commercial and contractual matters, including the day‐to‐day administration of the head contract and any subcontracts placed on the project.
This is a permanent full‐time position with DTI. There are opportunities to grow and move onto future projects. You may work either DIDO from SA on a 5:2 roster or FIFO from WA on a 2:1 roster. The project site will be in Georgetown, SA.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the development of management plans in accordance with head contract requirements.
* Develop commercial and risk management strategies, plans, process flowcharts and pro‐formas for accurate and effective management of DTI's rights and entitlements under the head contract.
* Work with the project scheduling resources to ensure the baseline schedule is developed and approved in accordance with the head contract programming requirements.
* Provide commercial leadership and advice to project team members on site issues, disputes and other contractual matters.
* Develop and implement effective commercial strategies that will support the Project Manager(s) in any negotiations with the client.
* Implement DTI standard subcontracts and supply orders for the placement of all subcontracts and materials on the project.
* Ensure managing subcontractor progress claim certificates comply with the terms of the subcontract and relevant Security of Payment legislation.
* Provide commercial leadership in the management and resolution of any issues or disputes that arise on the project with any subcontractors and suppliers.
To Be Successful
* Bachelor of Business, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or recognised prior industry learning suitable for the role.
* Preferably a minimum of 3 years experience working within a Senior Contracts Administration position in a project delivery role.
* Proven experience in the preparation of contract agreements.
* Excellent working knowledge of Australian or New Zealand construction contracts.
* Sound working knowledge of risk management principles and application of process.
