We are seeking skilled and experienced Underground Mechanics from international locations to join our maintenance teams in underground mining environments. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and optimising heavy mobile equipment used below ground. Successful applicants must demonstrate strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to adapt to demanding underground conditions. Applicants with Australian Trades Recognition will be prioritised.
Responsibilities
* Maintain, repair, and optimise heavy mobile equipment used in underground mining environments.
* Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
* Adhere to safety procedures and best practices in confined spaces, low-light conditions, and high-risk environments.
* Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or equivalent (internationally recognised).
* Minimum 3–5 years' experience working on heavy mobile equipment, ideally in underground or mining environments.
* Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to work safely in confined spaces, low-light conditions, and high-risk environments.
* Experience with OEM equipment such as Sandvik, Epiroc, CAT, or Atlas Copco is highly regarded.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to follow technical instructions.

* Willingness to relocate and work in Australia (or relevant country).
* Ability to pass:
o medical and fitness assessments
o drug and alcohol screening
o background checks
* English language proficiency suitable for safety-critical environments.
* Commitment to learning local mining regulations and adapting to underground safety standards.
