Offer description

Mamamia is Australia's largest independent women's media group and our core purpose is to make the world a better place for women and girls.
We reach seven and a half million women each month across written, video and social platforms and we have the largest women's podcast network in the world with 55 different shows.
About the role We're seeking an experienced, creative, and driven marketing leader to accelerate subscription growth and engagement through sophisticated lifecycle and acquisition marketing.
You will primarily focus on the acquisition and activation phases of the subscriber journey, driving growth via innovative campaigns, discount offers, and personalised communications.
In this role, you will also own and continuously develop our audience engagement technology stack, ensuring maximum utility and best practices to convert casual users into loyal and engaged subscribers who genuinely feel the value of a Mamamia subscription.
Here's some of the stuff you can expect to be doing if you join us: Lead and execute the growth strategy, focusing on meeting ambitious subscriber acquisition targets through owned and earned channels.
Design and implement a high-impact giveaway strategy and rolling promotional calendar to capture maximum audience appeal.
Develop high-performing conversion strategies, including optimising subscription funnels, landing pages, and pop-up nurture journeys.
Own and continuously refine the Customer Engagement Platform (currently Iterable) as the business champion, defining best practices and technical implementation.
Build data-driven retention and winback strategies to reduce churn and increase lifetime value through personalised, automated communications.
Manage email lists and the broader newsletter ecosystem, utilizing segmentation and A/B testing to foster customer engagement.
Manage and support the Customer Support team to ensure a 'surprise and delight' experience that maximises subscriptions.
Collaborate seamlessly across internal content and creative teams to align messaging and integrate growth initiatives into our ecosystem.
Now, a bit about you You have 5+ years of experience in the marketing or growth space, with a proven focus on customer acquisition and campaign execution.
You possess essential experience with a Customer Engagement Platform (e.g., Iterable, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud), including tool setup and technical implementation.
You are a CRM specialist who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and process improvement.
You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are comfortable making data-driven decisions.
You demonstrate excellent copy and creative instincts, knowing what drives audience engagement and conversions.
You are a proactive, results-driven driver who thrives in a fast-paced environment (startup experience is highly valued).
You are highly empathetic and can "walk in the shoes of your audience."
Life at Mamamia We're fast-paced and innovative, with a collaborative culture when it comes to industry-leading strategies and ideas.
We're small enough that you can create real and tangible change, and have your voice heard, and large enough that we can support your ideas with experienced, industry-leading teams, and deliver them to an audience of millions of women every month.
We have a startup spirit within a scaled-up business structure.
The core purpose of Mamamia is to make the world a better place for women and girls, and we live this philosophy in the content we create and with the work we do.
While our core purpose informs every business and content decision we make, we execute on our purpose in a way that's engaging, entertaining and adds meaning and value to the lives of Australian women.
We're passionate about embracing AI and technology in our creative process, constantly exploring new ways to enhance storytelling and connect with our audience - we're excited for you to join us on this innovative journey.
