Job Description


Family Liaison and Administration Officer will be responsible for various administration tasks including general administration and customer service including enrolment and orientation coordination for new families joining the centre.

This position will be required to communicate effectively and provide a high level of customer services to the families within the centre; they will perform a range of administration tasks for the Director and their respective team within the centre.

Cook - As a Child Care Cook at St Nicholas Early Education, your responsibility will be to plan and provide a balanced varied diet for the children attending St Nicholas.

Working collaboratively with the Centre Director and Educational Team, you will be responsible for planning and preparing meals for the children, taking into consideration nutritional requirements, cultural and religious differences, and additional needs, and ensuring that all food is stored and prepared in compliance with health regulations at all times.


Desired Skills and Experience


EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA Family Liaison and Administration Officer

* Demonstrated ability in accurate and proficient performance of a wide range of administrative tasks
* Excellent communication skills in interactions with families
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills and communication (written and oral) skills.
* Demonstrated capacity to organise, prioritise and manage several tasks at one time to meet various deadlines
* Demonstrated skill in coordination, filing, and record management
* Ability to act with tact and discretion, maintaining high standards of confidentiality
* Intermediate experience and ability to work with Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word and Excel
* Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and be responsible and accountable for own work

QUALIFICATIONS

* Minimum of 3 years administration experience
* Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
* National Criminal History check clearance
* Certificate III in Administration (Desirable)
* Prior administration experience in the early education sector (Desirable)
Experience with Child Care Management System software (Desirable)

EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA Cook

* Experience with food preparation and orders
* Basic computer literacy
* Experience working with children (Desirable)
* Demonstrated understanding of:
* National Quality Framework (NQF)
* Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
* Workplace Health and Safety issues (Desirable)

QUALIFICATIONS

* Working with Children Check verification number;
* Food Safety Supervior Certificate
* Menu Planning and Food handling qualification;
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Child Protection Training;
* A Qualification in Early Childhood Education (Desirable)
* Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training (Desirable)
