Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Legal and Contract Specialist to join our team.
This role will focus on supporting business operations by handling contracts, intellectual property matters, and coordinating with legal counsel as needed.
You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and maintaining commercial agreements, advising internal teams on IP topics, and developing internal legal templates.
In addition, you will prepare documentation for external lawyers, respond to general legal queries, and stay up-to-date on legislative and regulatory changes affecting the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
* Drafting and Managing Contracts: Develop, review, and maintain a variety of commercial agreements, including non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and service contracts.
* Intellectual Property Support: Advise internal teams on trademarks, licensing, copyright, and confidentiality obligations.
* Internal Policy Development: Help develop and refine internal legal templates and operational policies.
* Document Preparation: Prepare documentation and case summaries for referral to external lawyers.
* General Legal Queries: Respond to general legal queries from internal stakeholders and assist with risk reviews.
* Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed of legislative and regulatory changes that may affect the organisation.

Required Skills and Qualifications
A strong foundation in law is essential for this role, with a legal qualification (LLB or equivalent) or formal training in legal studies (Paralegal diploma/certification preferred).
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar legal support or commercial advisory role, ideally within a corporate or in-house team.
Proven knowledge of contractual obligations and intellectual property concepts is crucial.
Briefing experience with external legal providers is an asset.
Familiarity with legal software or contract management platforms is advantageous.
A proactive approach to problem-solving is required, along with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a broader cross-functional team.
