An exciting opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Technician to join one of our key clients, at the Ampol Refinery. For 10+ years, Wood has held a Maintenance contract at Lytton, and have been heavily imbedded into the Ampol culture with a strong focus on team alignment across the contracting teams.
This role will play a pivotal part in the continued support of our maintenance contract at Ampol, as well as being apart of a supportive and innovative team.

As Woods next Mechanical Technician, the below skills and qualifications are required:
- Proven track record in successfully overhauling and maintaining rotating machinery.
- Must be **Fitter & Turner Trade Qualified **with proven maintenance experience in heavy industry environments.
- In-depth understanding of pumps, valves, vessels, pipework, and pressure safety valves (PSVs).
- Proficient in the maintenance and operation of turbines and associated equipment.
- Hands-on experience in the overhaul and maintenance of reciprocal compressors.
- Proficient in managing flanges, including installation, inspection, and maintenance
- Willingness and flexibility to participate in an on-call roster for emergency response and maintenance needs.
