Summary
The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen by washing, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other equipment.
Responsibilities
* Load, operate and unload the dishwasher properly
* Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using a dishwasher or by hand.
* Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
* Maintain kitchen inventory by checking stock to determine inventory levels and anticipating needed supplies.
* Place clean dishes and utensils in their designated storage areas.
* Clean garbage cans and other kitchen equipment as required.
* Assist kitchen staffs in simple food preparation tasks, such as portioning ingredients, peeling and slicing vegetables, and other tasks as needed.
* Follow all standards and protocols for hygiene and safety as set by the establishment
* Attend training and meetings as required.
Qualifications
* High School diploma or equivalent
* Ability to operate and maintain dishwashing equipment
* Excellent organizational, time management and multitasking skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
* Ability to work flexible hours and holidays when necessary
* Good communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
* Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards
