The Vault Minerals Exploration Department is at the forefront of unlocking mineral potential across our tenements surrounding the Mount Monger, Deflector, Rothsay, Darlot, and King of the Hill operations. With a strong commitment to discovery and development, our team is driving the next generation of gold projects in diverse geological settings.
Reporting to the District Geologist, the Exploration Geologist will play a key role in executing exploration plans, supervising drilling programs, conducting field mapping, and supporting geochemical and geophysical surveys. This role is offered on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supervise and support drilling programs and geological survey work across multiple sites.
* Assist in managing and executing approved exploration programs, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and budget constraints.
* Capture and validate geological data, contributing to project evaluations and reporting.
* Provide technical guidance and mentoring to field staff, promoting a strong safety culture.
* Liaise with contractors, Traditional Owners, landholders, and government departments.
* Assist in the development of exploration procedures and contribute to company-wide exploration planning.
* Maintain compliance with WH&S legislation and site safety protocols.
* Uphold company values and contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
About You:
* Tertiary qualification in Geology (BSc. Geology or Applied Geology).
* Previous experience in mineral exploration, ideally with exposure to Archean Au and Cu deposits.
* Familiarity with AC, RAB, RC, and Diamond drilling techniques.
* Working knowledge of WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations.
* Proficiency in Micromine, MapInfo, Surpac, and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong report writing and data management skills.
* Valid WA Driver's License (manual C Class); Forklift Licence preferred.
* Willingness to travel to remote locations and work in field conditions.
