Position Summary
This Mechanic and General Duties role is responsible for supporting business growth and enhancing organisational profitability by ensuring the optimal presentation, maintenance, and reliable operation of buggies, vehicles, and company equipment. Key duties include mechanical repairs and maintenance of all company vehicles and equipment, managing deliveries and truck driving, assisting with spare parts stock and inventory management, and supporting daily operational activities to maintain high service standards and equipment readiness.
Key Requirements
* Experience driving and towing trailers
* Fork Lift operating experience
* Proficient and confident operation of mechanical and workshop equipment and tools
* Competent and qualified mechanical knowledge
* Computer literate and proficient use of Microsoft
* Experience in liaising with customers and resolving mechanical issues
* Knowledge of the industry with experience with working on a variety of vehicles
* Has experience in building effective relationships with clients and staff
* Excellent communication skills
* Proven ability to analyse processes and ensure continuous improvement to avoid mistakes
* Systematic approach to business operations to avoid mistakes and to report near missus
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to a high standard
* Persistent approach to time management
* High levels of enthusiasm, energy and resourcefulness
* Excellent planning, organisation ability to work in line with company standards
* High degree of accountability and attention to detail
* Experienced mechanical knowledge and a strong understating relating particularly to small diesel and unleaded engines, CVT transmissions, hydrostatic transmissions, 4WD components, differentials, CV shafts etc
* Operating workshop equipment and tools. Welding, grinding etc
* Strong communication skills to express thoughts clearly
* Planning and organisation to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, to manage own time and to work autonomously
* Trustworthy and reliable
* Creativity and innovation to identify fresh approaches; have an eye for new ways and processes
* Technology literacy including general knowledge of Word, Excel
* General IT knowledge to understand and work with parts breakdowns and dealer online systems to identify and order parts
Job Responsibility
* Mechanical Repairs and maintenance of all company vehicles and equipment
* Wash, clean, detail and prep buggies for hire
* Changing tyres, welding, painting, grinding, basic auto electrical and general mechanical workshop tasks
* Re-fuelling buggies, recording fuel levels
* Parts ordering and diagnosis
* Operating company fork lift and equipment
* Set customer satisfaction a priority
* Attend festivals and events for deliveries and mechanical call outs
* Delivery of vehicles to events, driving company vehicles, trucks and towing trailers
* Assist with loading and unloading of buggies on / off trucks
* Cleaning of equipment before and after hire when required
* Cleaning and general tidiness of work shop area and premises
* Delivery and acceptance of parcels, couriers, Australia Post etc
* General company errands
* Maintenance and Cleaning of company vehicles, including trailers, buggies, cars, forklift etc
* Unlocking and locking up of premises, including daily shut down of equipment, security alarms etc
* Plan, prioritise and organise daily tasks by the most economical means. Develop work priorities and develop schedules
* Set relevant goals, time lines to effectively manage your time
* Preform other duties when required
