About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a records management assistant to join our team. As a key member of our national records team, you will provide records management and clerical support in accordance with our risk management policy.
* Register, retrieve and archive files in our records management system
* Liaise with internal stakeholders regarding collections
* Organise retrieval with our off-site providers
* Undertake general records management duties, including manual handling of archive boxes
* Collaborate with the national team to ensure data governance and destruction practices are being adhered to
* Assist legal secretaries with ensuring their archiving remains up-to-date
* Accurate data entry and general database management
* Work on ad-hoc records projects
* Assisting in providing records management advice and support to staff
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Some exposure to records management or administration working in a professional service/law firm environment (preferable)
* Proven past experience working independently with the ability to generate your own work and be proactive
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office essential (and working with records management systems would be highly advantageous)
* A high level of professionalism and attention to detail
* Experience working in project teams will be seen as an advantage
* The physical ability to lift our archive boxes
About Our Team
Our records management team is responsible for the management of legal and shared services physical files and safe custody items. This incorporates the management of file storage areas on the legal floors and within the centralised records management floor, as well as the collection, storage and retrieval of files in off-site storage.
