Application and Transition Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Application and Transition Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Managed Fund Accounting team, you will provide Hiportfolio application support and execute transition projects with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the primary point of contact for functional queries related to Hiportfolio, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
* Provide application support to the managed fund accounting team regarding abnormal application behavior, incidents, user requests for static data setup, and report creation.
* Contribute to promoting best practices in HiPortfolio usage.
* Maintain static data and control procedures to ensure accurate and unambiguous data requests.
* Respond to support requests with information, updates, and advice on the functional aspects of Hiportfolio.
* Support problem management and release management.
* Oversee and participate in change management processes, including change request analysis, testing, and implementation.
* Advise on best practices for operating applications within the organization.
* Lead transition projects, ensuring timely and accurate execution of all elements of the transition plan.
* Act as a subject matter expert for Hiportfolio data take-ons, extracts, transformation, and load.
* Manage data reconciliation processes.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in Financial Services, with specific technical knowledge of Fund Accounting & Unit Pricing, Investment Administration & Custody Operations.
* Solid working knowledge of Hiportfolio and its relevant modules.
* In-depth knowledge of various securities and their treatment.
* Demonstrated ability in project management and planning.
* Excellent numeracy and analytical skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Exceptional collaboration and communication skills.
* Solid knowledge of investment concepts, unit pricing practices, and regulatory guidelines (ASIC/APRA).
* Desirable: degree in accounting or finance-related discipline; additional post-graduate qualifications (CPA, CA, FINSIA) advantageous.
