Aboriginal Mental Health Professional Opportunity
This is an exciting career opening for a skilled Aboriginal Mental Health Clinician to provide culturally competent services in a multidisciplinary setting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering recovery-focused care to consumers and their families, ensuring a holistic approach that prioritizes self-determination and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
* To assess, coordinate, intervene, liaise, advocate and review consumers with mental illness, distress or risk issues.
* To provide high-quality, safe and connected care to consumers and their families in a person-centered and holistic manner.
* To engage and collaborate with consumers, their families and other stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
Essential Requirements:
* Must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent and have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures with established links to the local community.
* Tertiary qualification in Health Science (Mental Health) or relevant registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
* Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality care that promotes self-determination and adheres to the principles of mental health rehabilitation, recovery framework and strengths-based approach.
