Overview
The role: As an Internal Auditor Information Technology, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality IT audits that strengthen governance, enhance cybersecurity, and drive organisational success.
As part of our dynamic Group Internal Audit team, you'll assist with a broad range of technology-focused audits and help evaluate and improve controls across IT operations, cybersecurity, and application systems. Responsibilities
* Support planning and delivery of internal audits, particularly across IT systems and processes.
* Conduct control testing and prepare well-documented workpapers.
* Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of IT risk management and internal controls.
* Collect and analyse data using audit tools and AI to identify control issues.
* Recommend improvements and contribute ideas to enhance audit practices.
* Engage in continuous professional development to grow your skills.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related tech field.
* At least 2 years' experience in internal auditing, IT security or a related discipline.
* A basic understanding of IT systems, infrastructure and cybersecurity principles.
* Proficiency with audit tools, testing procedures, and a strong attention to detail.
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
* A proactive and curious mindset, with a willingness to learn and contribute.
* Experience in financial services and knowledge of the Australian regulatory environment (desirable).
Location
Toowong – Close to public transport with parking options. The Toowong office offers end-of-trip facilities, outdoor spaces and modern collaborative areas. Located at Toowong Village tower, approximately 4 km from the city, with access to retail, restaurants and amenities.
