The Role
We are looking for an individual with outstanding customer service experience to join our Queensland Fertility Group Administration Team.
Administration are important members of this successful healthcare company, and we respect and value the need for experienced customer service focussed individuals working hand in hand with our highly skilled medical team.
This pivotal role will perform all aspects of reception & administration work involved in the patient journey: welcoming and registering patients, coordinating bookings and appointments with the Patient Care Team, and working closely with our Nurses, Scientists, Counsellors and Day Hospitals to optimise the patient experience.
This role would be suitable for someone with experience in a similar role, who is compassionate and sensitive to the needs of our patients undergoing fertility treatments. We believe strong customer service skills and excellent communication will contribute significantly to the provision of the world class care we deliver.
The successful administration applicant will be expected to work across all our Brisbane sites, with varying shifts spanning our business hours of 6:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday, as well as participate on a rotating roster for a Saturday shift of 7:00am – 10:00am.
Role Responsibilities
* Achieve a high level of customer service and support for patients and doctors
* Facilitate patient registration and coordinate patient bookings
* Update and manage patient information database
* Answer high volume of incoming calls and emails in a professional and courteous manner
* Ensure a high level of attention to detail when completing all administrative tasks
* Conduct individualised patient quotations and billing
* Maintain and adhere to our patient confidentiality and privacy policy
* Scanning and collation of patient records
* Contribute towards a positive and inclusive team culture
* Receipting and invoicing
Skills & Experience
Obstetrics / Gynaecology / Fertility experience would be advantageous. Experience with Genie, Gentu or a similar software program is desirable.
Applicants also require:
* Outstanding customer service experience preferably in a medical setting
* Impeccable communication skills (verbal and written) and a courteous phone manner
* Office administration and/or accounts receivable
* Sound working knowledge of database systems
* Understanding of patient confidentiality
* The ability to build rapport with patients
* Empathetic and supportive nature
* Knowledge of Medicare and Private Health Insurance
* Knowledge of IVF (desirable)
