We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our customer-owned bank.
As CFO, you'll do more than manage numbers. You'll be a strategic partner to the CEO, Board, and ELT in helping shape the organisation's future direction, ensuring financial resilience, and supporting innovation that keeps our customers at the heart of everything we do.

In this pivotal role, you will:
- Lead all aspects of financial management, including strategy, planning, performance, reporting, and compliance, as well as selected functional areas across the business subject to candidate skills and experience.
- Partner with the ELT to drive sustainable growth and innovation in line with our customer-centric strategy.
- Oversee treasury, capital management, and risk frameworks to ensure financial resilience.
- Provide high-quality insights and advice to the CEO, Board and ELT to enable sound decision-making.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency and collaboration.
- Play a leadership role with regulators and auditors.
🎯 About you
We're seeking a financial leader who can bring both expertise and energy to the role. You will have:
- Proven experience as a senior finance executive, ideally within banking, financial services, or a highly regulated sector.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of senior finance executive experience is required for this position.
- Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with the ability to balance purpose with performance.
- Demonstrated capability in financial governance, regulatory compliance, and organisational performance.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to engage and influence across all levels of the organisation.
- A leadership style that is professional, engaging and approachable - because great culture drives great performance.
- Formal CA/CPA-level qualifications.
