Part time fixed term 24 months at Camperdown with opportunity for extension dependent on funding.

Exciting opportunity for a Research and Project Officer to join the Sydney Nursing School of the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. Base Salary $103,185 (Pro rata 0.60 FTE) + 17% superannuation.

We have an excellent opportunity available for a Research and Project Officer to support Professor Kate Curtis and her research team to lead, facilitate and evaluate the outcomes of high-quality clinical research at the Sydney Nursing School (SNS). These duties will primarily be conducted as part of a large nationally funded translation research partnership grant study EPIC-START. The EPIC-START 5 year study is currently in its third year, you will be essential to the completion of the study outcomes.

Your responsibilities

* work closely with a team of researchers contributing to high-quality, research-based knowledge generation within emergency care
* provide operational and technical support for the research being undertaken, including data management (cleaning, analysis plans, analysis, interpretation and visualisation)
* maintain positive relationships with the research partners and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate the successful completion of the research project
* complete ad-hoc research activities, including reporting, preparation of manuscripts, ethics requirements, budgeting management, documentation and other administrative duties

About you

* hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant health field
* experience in developing, leading and managing health research projects including expertise in multi-centre study management, clinical trials, ethics and governance, data management, analysis and reporting
* strong experience in stakeholder management and communications with highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
* demonstrated experience in data management, quantitative and qualitative data analysis and interpretation for peer review publication
* demonstrate high levels of computer literacy, including proficiency in learning new programs and skills

You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
