Essential Qualifications
* Valid teacher certification for the Province of Nova Scotia
* Major/Minor in French or attended Immersion in the Public School system
* Methodology courses, experience, or practicum teaching in the subject area(s) at the appropriate level for the competition
* Excellent classroom and student management skills
* Knowledge and experience in the application of technologies used to enhance instruction and learning
* Knowledge and/or experience in implementing inclusive teaching and assessment strategies
* Knowledge of inter-disciplinary planning is a requirement
* Knowledge of Grades P-6 French Language Arts Curriculum
* High level of proficiency in teaching in an Immersion setting
* High level of proficiency in both written and spoken French is required (approved through the SRCE French proficiency testing)
