About the Role
This newly created role is focused on technical procurement and supplier management for engineered items and materials.
You'll be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and ensuring supplier performance to support production and project timelines.
The role also involves ERP system support, contract negotiation, and collaboration with internal teams to meet operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Source and manage engineered components and materials to support production and project delivery
Build strong supplier relationships and drive performance and cost optimisation
Collaborate across teams to ensure procurement aligns with technical and operational needs
Contribute to continuous improvement in purchasing, planning, and supply chain processes
Source and purchase materials and services for production and projects
Obtain competitive quotations for engineered items and explore alternate sourcing options
Liaise with suppliers regarding availability, delivery, and performance
Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews
Issue purchase orders and manage open orders
Support ERP setup and maintain item policy accuracy
Collaborate with internal teams on project and production requirements
Ensure compliance with procurement processes and QMS standards
Negotiate contracts and maintain strong supplier relationships
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Australian citizenship
3–5 years' experience in technical purchasing and supplier management
ERP system knowledge
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple sourcing activities and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
Experience in production and inventory management
APICS qualification
Tertiary qualification in supply chain, manufacturing, or operations
Experience with demand planning and logistics
Eligibility to hold an Australian Security Clearance (DISP)
Familiarity with ISO **** or similar, experience within an AS**** organisation
