About the Opportunity
The Senior Delivery and Solution Architect for End user Devices provides architectural leadership and delivery oversight for the new End User Compute Program in eHealth NSW.
This role sits at the intersection of architecture, delivery, procurement and service design, driving the uplift and standardisation of NSW Health’s desktop environment.
Working closely with the Program Architect, Program leadership, engineering teams, LHDs and Vendors, this role will own the end‑to‑end architecture and delivery of the standardised managed operating environment (MOE) including patterns, rationalisation, migration pathways and statewide adoption.
This role is not hands on engineering, it is a delivery focused architecture role, responsible for designing the target state, breaking the work into deliverable components, governing decisions and driving the streams to execution.
In this role, you will:
* Lead the End user device stream, driving architectural direction and delivery outcomes.
* Coordinate multiple workstreams (Standard Operating environment (SOE) uplift, application packaging and rationalisation, governance establishment, lifecycle and procurement) to ensure cohesive delivery
* Define the target state architecture for the statewide MOE/SOE including provisioning, configuration, lifecycle, patching, compliance, application management and exception management.
* Develop and maintain architectural patterns such as standards, patterns, design decisions and migration frameworks.
* Provide architectural oversight and assurance, reviewing and approving design decisions to ensure alignment with statewide objectives.
* Shape and support procurement activities by defining technical requirements, evaluating vender responses and performance and ensuring alignment with future‑state architecture.
* Lead statewide rationalisation of current distributed SOE management into a unified framework, including rationalisation, compatibility assessments and application consolidation
* Establish and uplift governance models covering handrails, change control, deviation or exception management lifecycle policy and documentation standards.
* Engage and influence LHD's, Vendors and multidisciplinary teams through workshops, design reviews and stakeholder alignment.
* Identify and manage architectural risks, ensuring traceability of decisions and alignment of delivery activities with the intended target state.
About You:
* Deep expertise in SOE/MOE design, modern endpoint management (Intune/MECM), and large‑scale desktop environment refreshes.
* Proven experience leading complex technical delivery streams, turning architectural direction into actionable outcomes across federated environments.
* Strong capability in developing architectural patterns, standards, roadmaps, and governance frameworks that support consistency.
* Confidence working with procurement processes, vendor engagement and evaluating technical solutions against architectural requirements.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence, simplify complexity and drive alignment across diverse technical and non‑technical groups.
