About the Role:
* You will facilitate the smooth operation of the Perioperative department, under the NUM, with a can-do attitude and strong customer service focus.
* Apply advanced nursing practices in planning, implementing, and evaluating care in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
* Provide a support role to all members of the nursing team, acting as a role model and resource person within the clinical area.
* You will provide leadership and direction to the department to complement the strategic direction, operational processes, budget and business direction of the unit and hospital.
* Your positive attitude, ability to prioritise, delegate and adapt, along with your excellent time management skills are of critical importance for this role.
* This position holds a key leadership function and will see you report to and work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to achieve organisational goals.
* Relieve the NUM role during periods of leave.
About You:
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in this role.
* Strong clinical skillset.
