The Opportunity
Reporting the General Manager, you will assume responsibility for ensuring effective commercial support to all of the operation across both the mine and expansion projects. As a member of the senior leadership team you will have strong links to Group Finance and regularly interact with senior executives.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure company policies, standards and procedures are embedded in development plans and adhered to during implementation.
* Contribute to senior management decision-making and business planning.
* Provide commercial advice and innovative solutions that support operational and financial targets.
* Support the achievement of departmental and organisational goals through collaboration and effective communication
* Manage cost and management accounting and reporting activities, including the production of accurate and timely cash flow forecasts.
* Assist with statutory and financial accounting, including balance sheet reconciliations.
* Manage site ERP (Pronto), fixed asset register, accounts payable and payroll activities.
* Develop and maintain reporting and analysis tools and capital expenditure evaluation tools
* Manage budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, continuous improvement, and effective communication to site and Group management teams.
* Champion the Company's commitment to safety, risk and change management, continuous improvement and community engagement.
Candidate Profile
* CA or CPA qualified
* Finance Degree or similar qualification required
* Experience in good procurement and contract management
* Demonstrated experience in senior commercial roles - preferably in site-based mining positions
* Extensive experience with ERP, BI and other IT systems as required
* Experience with Pronto and PowerBI highly regarded
* Willing to relocate to Broken Hill (relocation and rent subsidy provided)
