Overview

Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer and manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth's Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible designing, constructing and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the new Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard to support the AUKUS program, and operating and maintaining common use facilities.

ANI is seeking an experienced Process & Governance Manager to join our Engineering function. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this critical role is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong engineering governance frameworks and capability across ANI.

With increasing activity and growth within the AUKUS program, this role will be pivotal in shaping ANI's engineering authority framework, developing processes and systems, and supporting the delivery of the NPSCY and existing facilities.

This position plays a key role in demonstrating ANI's competence as a nuclear licensee and steward of nuclear facilities.

Responsibilities

* Create, implement and maintain ANI's engineering governance processes
* Develop, maintain and control the Engineering Manual
* Manage the Delegated Authorities and Authorised Persons Register
* Manage the Engineering Authority Committee, including acting as Committee Secretary
* Ensure all engineering and design change requests follow appropriate governance and approval pathways
* Ensure all ANI personnel, consultants and contractors are Suitably Qualified and Experienced Persons (SQEP)
* Support the development and career progression of engineering staff to grow ANI's engineering capability
* Support governance processes that demonstrate compliance in a regulated, nuclear-influenced environment

About You

* You are a highly organised engineering professional with experience operating in governed and regulated environments, ideally within nuclear construction, nuclear operations or similarly complex infrastructure settings.

You will also have

* Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain NV1 security clearance
* A degree qualification in an Engineering discipline
* Proven experience working within a formal engineering governance framework
* Highly developed organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise, problem-solve and meet deadlines
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing governance documentation, reports and committee papers, and undertaking minute taking
* Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across technical and non-technical teams
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Applicants must be Australian citizens and either hold or be able to gain and maintain a Defence security clearance. Applicants will be required to consent to background checks.
