CNC Machinist required for highprecision machining on afternoon shift permanent position. Your new role As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting CNC lathes and/or machining centres to produce highaccuracy components to tight tolerances. Your key duties will include: Setting up and operating CNC milling and/or turning machines Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications Producing precision components to exact tolerances Performing offsets, basic programming and tool changes Conducting quality checks using micrometers, verniers, gauges and related equipment Identifying and reporting faults, machining issues or quality concerns Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area Collaborating with engineers, programmers and production teams This is a fulltime, permanent afternoon shift working 2:15pm 10:45pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime available. What you'll need to succeed Proven experience as a CNC Machinist Strong understanding of CNC controls Recognised qualification in machining or engineering (desired) Experience with Mastercam and/or SolidWorks Exposure to 4 or 5axis machining Aerospace or defence machining experience Understanding of CNC programming fundamentals What you'll get in return Youll join a supportive, growing business that values technical craftsmanship and continuous improvement.
