We are seeking an experienced **Kitchen Hand**, preferably experienced with working in a fast-paced environment and with great knife skills to ensure that our food is prepped to perfection. Our kitchen is compact, teamed with 1 kitchen hand, 1 sous chef and 1 chef so the environment is efficient, skilled, focused and inter-dependant.
Applicants must have:
- at least 2 years experience as a kitchen hand
- great knife/ chopping skills and experience in food preparation
- a hands-on approach to cleaning and maintaining kitchen areas
- ability to work well in a fast-paced commercial kitchen and team
- a helpful, friendly and reliable team player
- a passion for cooking, the hospitality industry and restaurant operations
- availability to work a good portion of the week, covering weekdays and weekends (all day time, with occasional night work for special events etc)
- safe food handling / certificate in kitchen operations is an advantage but not essential
