About the Role-Permanent Position 35 Hours a week for up to 14 Weeks Per Year
Join Bass Coast Health as a Medical Consultant and lead the delivery of high-quality inpatient care in a regional hospital setting. This role includes conducting daily ward rounds, supervising junior medical staff, and participating in the acute medical on-call roster. You will provide clinical leadership, contribute to multidisciplinary care planning, and support medical education and training. The position offers the opportunity to shape service delivery in a growing health service, with support for professional development and flexible work arrangements. AHPRA specialist registration in General Medicine or relevant subspecialty is required.

Mandatory Requirements
The following items are MANDATORY for appointment as a General Medical Physicians /GP Generalist Medical Officer:
* Alignment with BCH's WE CARE values
* MBBS degree (or equivalent)
* Post-graduate medical qualifications e.g. Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners, or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
* Demonstrated clinical background and experience in hospital based internal medicine.
* Demonstrated organisational, interpersonal, consultation, negotiation and communication skills
* Experience in teaching and mentoring of Junior Medical Staff
* A Police Check that is current and within 12 months of the issue date
* Provision of valid Working with Children Check
* Provision of an NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Seasonal influenza vaccination of healthcare workers in accordance with Secretary, Department of Health Directions
