Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer with strong hands‐on experience supporting the installation of mechanical packages for industrial facilities. This role supports the delivery of a major hydrocarbon facilities and installations within the Defence and Mining sectors.

This is a Perth‐based role, with travel to site in the Pilbara as required.

Responsibilities
* Provide site engineering support across piping, tanks, pumps, and fuel/lubrication systems
* Prepare work packs, interpret drawings, verify installation, and produce redline updates
* Resolve mechanical construction issues and support trades during installation
* Coordinate and expedite the procurement of mechanical materials, equipment, and specialist packages
* Support QA activities, including inspections, ITPs, hydrotesting, flushing, and commissioning tasks
* Assist with planning, sequencing, and progress reporting
About You
* 5+ years' experience in Mechanical engineering in industrial, mining, or infrastructure projects
* Proven hands‐on experience working for a subcontractor
* Strong understanding of mechanical installation methodologies
* Comfortable working in the field, supporting trades and solving real‐time issues
* Ability to handle procurement, vendor engagement, and material control
* Proactive, detail‐focused, and team‐oriented
