About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced
Mechanical Fitters
to join established maintenance teams within fast-paced manufacturing and packaging environments. Multiple positions are available for immediate start in Fremantle and Welshpool.
The first role is in Fremantle, and they are seeking a long-term staff member to replace a retiring fitter at their plant. This role is Monday to Friday, 6 am - 2 pm. You will be the sole fitter on site, so it suits an experienced person.
The second role is in Welshpool, at a fast-paced site, working with a team of 4 other fitters, and involves work in an old plant as well as a brand-new facility.
In both positions, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team that includes Maintenance Engineers, Supervisors, Planners, Fitters, Electricians and operational support staff.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of production and packaging machinery.
Diagnose and repair equipment.
Maintain and service conveyors, gearboxes, motors and drive systems.
Assist with scheduled shutdowns, planned maintenance and breakdown response.
Dismantle, inspect and assess equipment for faults, organise replacement parts and complete reassembly for commissioning.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures.
About You
Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent).
Experience in manufacturing, production, packaging or similar industrial environments.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to fault-find and work autonomously.
Reliable, safety-focused and able to work effectively in a team environment.
