What You'll Be Doing As a Level 3 Social Worker at the Manning Mental Health Unit, you will play a vital role within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, bringing a psychosocial lens to care planning and delivery. Your work will focus on addressing psychosocial stressors, promoting culturally responsive and family-inclusive care, and providing expert input on complex issues such as family and domestic violence, child protection, and homelessness risk. You’ll help strengthen community connections by linking consumers with appropriate services and supports, making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals experiencing mental health challenges. You’ll be part of a small, supportive team of Social Workers within the unit, with additional professional guidance provided by a Senior Social Worker from the community team. To support your continued growth, the role includes regular clinical supervision, a structured orientation program, and access to ongoing education and professional development. About You We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Social Worker who brings a culturally responsive approach to their practice. The successful candidate will be experienced in conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments and engaging meaningfully with consumers, families, and carers in a respectful and inclusive manner. You will have a solid understanding of the complex impacts of mental health on individuals and families, and be confident working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders. This role requires excellent communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Requirements Bachelor in Social Work or equivalent with eligibility for membership with Australian Association of Social Work (AASW).
