The Role
Reporting to the Executive Manager - Finance, the Group Accountant leads a 10-person team, overseeing all finance operations, including financial reporting, compliance, tax, and internal control. This pivotal role ensures financial transparency, governance, and strategic support across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor the finance team across AP, AR, and general accounting
* Manage financial reporting for senior leadership and board review
* Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements
* Oversee internal audits, controls, and risk management
* Maintain accurate reconciliations and financial documentation
* Strengthen accounting frameworks aligned with business strategy
* Collaborate across departments to enhance financial performance
About You
You're a commercially experienced financial leader with a sharp eye for detail and a practical approach to compliance and governance. You're confident managing a team and thrive in a regional, on-site role where your contribution makes a measurable impact.
Selection Criteria:
* CA/CPA qualification essential
* Relevant tenure in financial accounting, ideally in a commercial business
* Strong ERP and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
* Proven team leadership and financial control capability
* Experience in audit, tax, and compliance
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
