We have an exciting opportunity for someone eager to begin their HVAC journey in Bunbury, working and learning alongside experienced industry experts.
As a 1st year HVAC apprentice, you will assist in technical work on mechanical systems including refrigerants, steam, compressed air, and chillers systems, all under the guidance of qualified tradespeople.
This is part of a 4-year apprenticeship program which includes attending trade school to complete your Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.

What You'll Be Doing
* Assisting experienced technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems.
* Learning to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
* Gaining hands‐on experience with tools, equipment, and materials used in HVAC work.
* Understanding electrical systems related to HVAC equipment.
* Installing ductwork, piping, and ventilation systems under supervision.
* Performing routine inspections and troubleshooting HVAC system issues.
* Learning safety standards, regulations, and best practices on job sites.
* Assisting with system testing and calibrations to ensure proper operation.
* Developing basic skills in HVAC controls and automation.
* Participating in on‐the‐job training and classroom instruction to build technical knowledge.
* Maintaining clean and organised work areas and equipment.
* Developing teamwork and communication skills by collaborating with other apprentices and tradespeople.
* Learning about energy efficiency and environmental considerations in HVAC system.
What You Need
* Satisfactory completion of high school – year 10 or above.
* A Construction induction (white) card or willingness to obtain one before starting.
* Previous basic experience using hand and power tools.
* Hold an Australian driver's licence (preferred).
* Ability to climb ladders and work at heights safely.
* Flexibility to work overtime and shift work as needed.
* Pass a national police and medical checks.
