Job Title: Operations Director
We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee our construction operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in large-scale civil construction, maintenance, and service delivery.
About the Role:
The Operations Director will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for one of our largest delivery arms. This includes overseeing a team of 680 employees and managing civil construction projects and minor works across roads, footpaths, bikeways, waterways, drainage, bridges, traffic infrastructure, and buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a high-performing team to deliver infrastructure and specialist services, including stormwater drainage, bridges, transport network technologies, trades, and land remediation.
* Champion workplace health and safety across all operations, drive innovation and continuous improvement, and foster a culture that promotes employee engagement and well-being.
* Build strong partnerships across government, industry, and community while ensuring governance, compliance, and risk management underpin every decision.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A proven track record in executive leadership in large-scale civil construction, maintenance, and service delivery.
* Strong experience in program planning, progress monitoring, and corrective action, as well as expertise in governance, risk management, quality assurance, and cost control.
* Ability to promote Zero Harm and ensure safety and environmental compliance.
