About Therapeutic Residential Care
Therapeutic Residential Care is an intensive 24/7 care arrangement for a cohort of young people in the care of the Department of Communities (Communities).
It is a statewide service with group care houses in the metropolitan area and throughout the regions.
The homes can accommodate up to 4 young people aged between 10 and 17 years old.
The young people have highly complex needs, previous placement instabilities, and are currently not suitable for a family style environment.
Communities' vision for Therapeutic Residential Care is to:
"Provide a safe and stable home for young people that enables them to heal, connect, learn, and be prepared for their adult lives.
