We are seeking a Technical Lead with expertise in digital transformation to join our program at inception. This 12-month initial contract, with potential extension, offers an exciting opportunity to drive innovation and deliver successful transformations.

Digital Transformation is a new division established to drive the digital and CX strategy, design, and delivery of innovation across the entire customer experience, including digital enablement of end-to-end customer experiences.
Purpose
This role provides technical leadership for the Digital Transformation program, guiding the design and implementation of the Future State Technology Architecture. Working closely with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams, you will deliver robust, scalable, and future-proof solutions.
The Digital Front Door and Digital Back Door are central to our transformation vision. The Digital Front Door simplifies access to services, enhances engagement, and facilitates seamless transactions, while the Digital Back Door streamlines staff workflows, integrates systems, and enables efficient service delivery.
About the Role:
You will oversee all technical aspects of the Digital Transformation program, ensuring alignment between technical requirements, strategic objectives, and organisational priorities. This includes leading the development of the Digital Front Door and Back Door, providing technical direction for functional prototyping, and supporting other projects within the Digital Transformation program.
Collaboration with the ICT team is essential to understand current systems and technology stacks, identify integration opportunities, and drive innovative solutions that enhance customer and staff experiences.
You will also partner with external vendors to deliver the Future State Technology Architecture, ensuring smooth implementation and ongoing optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the design, development, and implementation of CBCity's Future State Technology Architecture in collaboration with external vendors and internal teams.
2. Oversee the technical delivery of large-scale digital solutions, including the Digital Front Door and Digital Back Door, to create seamless experiences for customers and staff.
3. Provide expert technical advice and direction for functional prototyping and Accelerator program projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and priorities.
4. Collaborate closely with the ICT team to understand current systems, technology stacks, and integration opportunities, ensuring compatibility and scalability.
5. Partner with the Digital Transformation Manager and Digital Program Lead to align technical activities with program timelines, resourcing, and budgets.
6. Drive the adoption of innovative technologies, such as AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies, to enhance operational efficiency and improve community outcomes.
7. Ensure technical solutions adhere to high standards for security, scalability, accessibility, and compliance.
8. Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks for technology and data initiatives, including data privacy and cybersecurity protocols.
9. Foster productive relationships with external vendors and consultants to deliver high-quality outcomes.
10. Continuously monitor and evaluate technical solutions to ensure they meet performance expectations and support continuous improvement.
Requirements:
1. Extensive experience as a technical leader in large-scale digital transformation programs.
2. Strong expertise in designing and delivering scalable architectures for digital platforms, including cloud-based and hybrid solutions.
3. Proficiency in system integration, enterprise architecture frameworks, and modern development methodologies such as Agile.
4. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
5. Deep understanding of ICT systems and technology stacks, with a proven ability to design and deliver integrated solutions.
6. A commitment to fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation.
7. Relevant tertiary qualifications in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in a large-scale transformation environment.
