Job Description
Lion Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Controls and Automation Engineer to join our team. As a Controls and Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance and reliability of our control systems, leading site automation projects, supporting operations in real time, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive improvements across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safety Champion: Ensure safety in all aspects of automation work and comply with site and company-wide standards.
* Automation Expert: Own the site's control systems and automation infrastructure and ensure it aligns with Group standards and best practices.
* Project Leadership: Develop and implement automation and controls strategies to improve production performance.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Operations, and the Asset Care team to develop and embed reliability plans.
* Problem-Solving Pro: Support real-time issue resolution and breakdown rectification to help maintain beer production.
* Tech Advocate: Stay up-to-date on emerging automation technologies and equipment, and act as the SME for our preferred platforms.
* Drive Improvement: Help embed our Supply Chain Operations Systems (TPM, KATA), manage the automation budget, and build site capability through coaching and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
* Education: A degree in Electrical Engineering or a Certificate 3 in Electrotechnology.
* Experience: Solid experience working in an automation or controls engineering role, ideally in a fast-paced manufacturing or operations environment.
* Skills: Strong knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, SCADA, PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell), and automation standards.
* Collaboration: A collaborative mindset and ability to bring people along for the ride as you lead change and build capability.
