We're seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our client's team. If you have experience in mechanical, electrical, or diesel fields and enjoy a role that combines phone support, field service, and technical troubleshooting, this is the opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:
* Phone Support: Provide service-related assistance via phone to technicians and customers.
* Field Breakdown Repairs: Attend breakdowns in the field and repair equipment in a timely manner.
* Service Reporting: Complete and submit detailed service reports upon repair completion.
* Feedback: Provide feedback on component failures to improve future processes.
* Training: Train distributors on commissioning the first new product.
* Warranty Troubleshooting: Analyse and resolve warranty issues that go beyond the scope of distributors or customers.
* Collaboration: Work with MCG-based personnel on service materials, product requirements, and code compliance.
* Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve customer reports of technical problems, analysing trends and recommending modifications to prevent future issues.
* Ad-Hoc Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience: At least 5 years in technical service and support, preferably in the heavy equipment industry.
* Specialised Skills: OEM or dealer experience in heavy equipment maintenance is an advantage.
* Qualifications: Trade certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Diesel mechanics, with advanced skills in automotive and Canbus electrical diagnostics.
* Technical Expertise: Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills in electrical, hydraulic, engine, drive-line, braking, and general maintenance/repair of heavy equipment.
* Schematics: Ability to read and work with electronic and hydraulic schematics.
* Flexibility: Willingness to travel overnight when required, with a flexible attitude to work demands.
* Problem Solving: Ability to analyse technical problems and provide recommendations to improve future operations.
