The successful candidate can independently manage a workload, show initiative, and communicate effectively with staff and families.

Your caseload will be tailored to your employment status (Registered/Clinical/Provisional Psychologist, or Counsellor), but generally will include:Planning, delivering, and evaluating psychology or counselling services that build on family/client strengths, needs, and priorities.Following a family systems theory approach to support parents of children with disabilities and enhancing their capacity to support their child's development.Linking families with other agencies to assist with capacity building and community engagement.Providing 1-1 therapeutic supports to children and teens with disabilities, including psychological or counselling supports and emotional regulation skills development.Supporting families through a key worker model to incorporate goals into daily routines.Conducting group intervention programs for children/teens with disabilities and for parents of children with disabilities.Providing mental health supports through Mental Health Care Plans, with the appropriate accreditation.A reliable car is required for this position.Benefits for staff:Competitive salary with additional paid mileage.
