Communications Manager (Parental Leave Cover)

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Communications Manager to lead strategic communications, public relations, and reputation management initiatives for Joondalup Health Campus and Ramsay Health Care.

In this 14-month contract role based in Perth, you will be responsible for protecting and enhancing the reputation of one of Western Australia's largest healthcare providers. Working closely with hospital executives, the WA Operations Executive, and Ramsay's national communications team, you will drive the development and delivery of integrated communication strategies that support organisational priorities, engage stakeholders, and strengthen community awareness.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead proactive and reactive internal and external communications initiatives.
* Develop and execute strategic communication and public relations plans.
* Manage media relations, issues management, and reputation protection activities.
* Promote organisational achievements, clinical excellence, and employee success stories.
* Provide expert communications advice to senior leaders and key stakeholders.
* Create, coordinate, and oversee a broad range of communication materials and channels.
* Ensure local communications activities align with Ramsay Health Care's national strategy and priorities.

About You

You are a skilled communications professional with exceptional relationship-building abilities and a proven track record delivering high-impact communications in complex organisations.

* Significant experience in communications, public relations, corporate affairs, or a related discipline.
* Experience within health care, government or a highly regulated industry.
* Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Demonstrated experience leading communications that support organisational change.
* Proven ability to showcase organisational achievements and engage diverse audiences.
* Strong media management and issues management experience.
* Experience working confidently with senior stakeholders across complex environments.
* Demonstrated expertise developing, coordinating, and editing a wide range of communication materials.
* Proven leadership experience managing teams within highly regulated industries.
* Tertiary qualifications in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
