DGH is a well-established engineering, fabrication, and maintenance services provider, proudly supporting clients across Queensland.
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our Head Office team in Mackay and play a key role in shaping our people, culture, and HR capability as our business continues to grow.
In this pivotal role, you will lead core HR functions, partner with leaders across the business, and help drive a positive, supportive, and high-performing workplace.
What you'll be doing
Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning & development, and offboarding.
Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR and ER matters.
Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, and best-practice frameworks.
Manage and maintain HR information systems, ensuring accuracy, data integrity, and compliance.
Lead employee engagement, culture, and wellbeing initiatives.
Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation, industrial awards, and enterprise agreements.
Partner with the leadership team to align HR strategy with organisational goals and operational needs.
What we're looking for
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a generalist HR role, ideally with advisory or consulting exposure.
Strong understanding of Australian employment law, industrial relations, and WHS requirements.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels.
Proven experience delivering HR initiatives that drive engagement, performance, and positive change.
Proficiency in HR information systems and the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
Strategic thinker with the ability to balance operational demands and long-term people priorities.
