Your new role
As a Casual Support Worker, you will join our team supporting people experiencing social isolation, health challenges, and homelessness. Working alongside a dynamic team, you will engage directly with participants attending our Engagement Hub for meals, providing assessment, advocacy, liaison, crisis intervention, and referral services to improve their living situation.
Your day-to-day
A typical day involves meeting new and existing participants and conducting assertive engagement on site. You will have an opportunity to provide services, advocacy, housing support and help people manage a crisis. You will be based at our Grey Street Engagement Hub, working to build professional relationships with the 250-350 people who attend for meals each day.

We're looking for someone
* With excellent communication skills who collaborates well as part of a team.
* Experienced in working with complex participants and responding to crises or challenging behaviours
* With a background in homelessness, mental health, or community services
