About the Opportunity
An outstanding opportunity is available for a Segment Business Development Manager - OEM, based in Eagle Farm, QLD, with proven experience and demonstrated success in business development.
The successful applicant will report to the Rail and OEM Manager, working within the Segment, Application Engineering, Connected Technologies (Condition Monitoring Systems), Marketing, Engineering Services, SKF Manufacturing Facilities and our OEM departments across the country to profitably grow the SKF market share, as well as identify opportunities for expansion into markets or customers using SKF's diverse portfolio as the differentiator.
The main responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:
Develop and implement business growth strategies and plans tailored to OEM demands and deliverables.
Analyse and leverage the benefits of SKF's full value offerings to align with and deliver profitable OEM strategies.
Build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying and developing opportunities with new clients to strengthen SKF's market position.
Identify opportunities for Application Specific Offers (ASOs), New Market Offers (NMOs), and Customer Specific Offers (CSOs) to support long-term, sustainable, and profitable business models.
Collaborate with global teams, including the Americas, to replicate successful projects and solutions, leveraging best practices for local markets and sharing success across the region.
Explore and engage new channels to market where relevant for the designated OEM segment, consolidating SKF's market share through direct Go-to-Market (GTM) models as required.
Drive SKF's product awareness by delivering or exceeding marketing plans through initiatives such as social media campaigns, Customer Solution Days (CSDs), and reliability forums.
Manage and maintain segment strategies, projects, and opportunities using SKF's Customer Relationship Management System (C4C), collaborating with core segment teams to meet commitments.
Provide support to other staff, including Segment Business Development Managers, by facilitating discussions, supporting campaigns, and assisting with collaboration where needed.
Demonstrate current knowledge of and adhere to applicable EHS requirements, taking appropriate action as required.
Manage a select but key indirect customer base to support the segment team within your geographical region.
Ensure all activities comply with corporate policies, business processes, legal requirements, professional standards, and the SKF Code of Conduct.
About You
To be considered for this role, you must have:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or equivalent proven technical sales/work experience.
Sound knowledge of industrial rotating equipment and the application of bearings and related components, including technologies such as Condition Monitoring in the designated segments or related industry experience.
At least three years' experience in Business Development management position
Demonstrated experience negotiating with senior management or corporate executives to win strategic long-term agreements.
Demonstrated understanding of asset reliability strategies and their impact on productivity and plant and facility utilisation.
Valid Driver's Licence
Willingness to travel required.
Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to use collaboration tools within the Microsoft O365 Suite and SAP
