About The Opportunity
Reporting to our Engineering and Technical Services Lead, CleanCo is searching for a Mechanical Technician at our Swanbank Power Station, you will play a key role in ensuring plant reliability and performance. You'll carry out preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance, support fault investigations, and contribute to projects that improve efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities:
* Mechanical Maintenance & Fault Diagnosis – Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance, fault investigations, and plant repairs to ensure reliable operations.
* Plant Improvement & Project Support – Design, scope, and implement mechanical improvements and modifications to enhance plant performance and reliability.
* Performance Monitoring & Analysis – Monitor equipment efficiency, analyse performance data, and contribute to strategies that improve availability and cost-effectiveness.
* Technical Support & Mentoring – Provide specialist advice and mentoring to team members; interpret technical documents and ensure system documentation is current.
* Safety, Compliance & Contractor Management – Follow CleanCo's Safe Work System, participate in risk assessments, and oversee contractors to ensure work is performed safely and to standard.
About You
* Must hold a Mechanical Trade Certificate and Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* Strong understanding of Safe Work Systems, isolations, and plant access procedures.
* Hands-on experience with fault finding, plant investigations, and reliability improvements.
* Familiarity with maintenance planning tools such as SAP or Ellipse.
* Experience in pressure equipment inspection, welding, or non-destructive testing is a plus.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to complex technical issues.
* A commitment to mentoring others, working collaboratively, and driving continuous improvement.
