What You'll Do

As an experienced Scrum Master, you will be responsible for enabling Agile delivery within government programs and supporting cross‐functional teams to deliver outcomes in highly governed and complex environments. The role focuses on coaching teams in Agile ways of working, facilitating core Scrum practices, and removing impediments to maintain delivery momentum and quality. You will operate as a servant leader across one or more teams, working closely with Product Owners, delivery leads, and stakeholders to drive transparency, improve delivery predictability, and uplift Agile maturity in line with government governance, security, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (stand‐ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) to ensure effective team cadence and delivery outcomes.
* Coach and mentor teams in Agile practices, driving continuous improvement and increasing Agile maturity across squads.
* Identify and remove impediments, manage dependencies, and shield teams from external disruptions to maintain focus on sprint commitments.
* Partner with Product Owners to support backlog refinement, prioritisation, and release planning aligned to program objectives.
* Provide delivery reporting (velocity, risks, dependencies, progress) to stakeholders in line with government governance requirements.
* Collaborate across delivery teams, architects, and stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and successful program outcomes.

Here's What You Need

* At least 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master in Agile delivery environments, ideally within government or highly regulated sectors.
* Strong working knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and practical application in delivery teams.
* Proven ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies, coach teams, and drive continuous improvement.
* Experience managing stakeholders, delivery risks, and dependencies in complex multi‐team environments.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across business and technical stakeholders.
* Experience with Agile tooling such as JIRA or Confluence and delivery reporting.
* Australian citizenship is required, with at least 3‐5 years of continuous residence; preference for those with security clearance.
