The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in best practice casework with children, young people, and their families, as well as leadership skills in complex situations.
The role demands a blend of leadership, professional knowledge, strategic direction, reflective practice, and the ability to mentor and develop others. As a Casework Leader, you will oversee a team of Caseworkers and Casework Support Workers to deliver high-quality, evidence-informed practice that prioritizes the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children, young people, and families.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Leading practice and change through feedback, quality assurance processes, mentoring, and other practice support assistance
* Ensuring accuracy and integrity of information and records for children and young people
* Preparing and reviewing legal documentation and briefings
* Providing guidance and support to Caseworkers in court matters
* Managing staff performance, allocating tasks, and addressing performance management needs
We offer a competitive remuneration package, including a base salary of $105,700-$110,300 per annum, plus superannuation and annual leave loading. We provide flexible work arrangements tailored to operational requirements, location, and individual circumstances.
To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate:
* Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, Welfare, or a related discipline
* Demonstrated experience in applying best practice casework with children, young people, and their families
* Leadership experience in managing teams in challenging and complex situations
