Due to strong and consistent growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Estimator to join our estimating team and play a key role in securing and delivering civil infrastructure projects across North Queensland.
This senior position is suited to a highly capable estimator with strong technical and commercial experience, who can contribute to tender strategy, pre-contract estimating, and the development of project delivery methodologies.
The Role
As Senior Civil Estimator, you will lead and contribute to tender preparation and pre-contract estimating activities across a range of civil construction projects. Working closely with engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers, you will ensure accurate, competitive, and commercially sound submissions.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead tender preparation and pre-contract estimating
* Analyse drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies
* Develop project delivery strategies and value-engineering options
* Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
* Prepare detailed cost estimates, programs, and tender documentation
* Assess contractual, technical, and commercial risks
* Support tender strategy and business development initiatives
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements
About You
* Significant experience in civil construction estimating, ideally in a senior role
* Strong understanding of TMR specifications and infrastructure projects
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (preferred)
* Proven ability to develop project delivery methodologies
* Competent in contract interpretation and technical specifications
* Advanced skills in Excel and Microsoft Project
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work efficiently and meet tight tender timeframes
* Strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental outcomes
