About the Role
As the Perioperative Clinical Nurse Educator, you will work closely with Clinical Nurse Managers to identify learning needs and deliver high-quality education programs. You will lead staff development within the perioperative team, using innovative teaching strategies and evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote and uphold the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Launceston
* Identify learning needs and objectives for individuals and groups
* Design, implement, and evaluate clinical education programs in collaboration with the Education Manager
* Deliver adult-learning-based clinical education and reflective practice
* Provide mentorship and support for new staff members
* Develop learning packages and competencies for perioperative units
* Collaborate with clinicians, company representatives, and healthcare professionals to enhance educational programs
* Support organisational change and review of relevant policies
* Incorporate current research and evidence-based practices into education
* Assist with mandatory training activities
* Foster clear, effective communication across all levels of the organisation
What You Bring
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Postgraduate qualifications in education or relevant clinical area (highly desirable)
* Demonstrated ability to effectively teach, mentor, and support nursing staff
* Minimum 5 years of post-registration experience in a perioperative setting (Theatre, PACU, or Anaesthetics)
* Proven interpersonal and leadership skills
