Get ready to roll up your sleeves and join our Capital Development Team as you deliver a diverse capital works program across Tasmania. You'll be the go-to for all things asset management and project delivery, ensuring everything runs smoothly from planning to final sign-off. This role goes beyond the office; you'll actively conduct site inspections, resolve challenges on the ground, and ensure the successful delivery of every project.
What you will do
* Strategic Asset Management: Develop and implement our Strategic Asset Management Plan, maintain asset registers, assess asset conditions, and create asset class management plans.
* Preventative Maintenance: Design and roll out preventative maintenance programs to keep our parks running like clockwork.
* Project Planning & Design: Assist with proposals, concept designs, and project plans. Prepare cost estimates and budgets for business cases, and ensure assets meet current regulations.
* Compliance & Approvals: Facilitate planning and building approvals, ensuring every project ticks all the legal boxes.
* Supplier & Contractor Engagement: Prepare documentation for consultants, manage tenders and quotes, and oversee supplier and contractor engagement.
* Project Delivery: Monitor WHS management systems and on-site safety, keep a close eye on environmental and building regulations, and ensure minimal disruption to park operations and guests.
* Reporting & Administration: Track project costs, schedules, and quality. Manage claims, contractual obligations, and all project documentation.
What you will bring
* Experience in project management, asset management, or capital works
* Accreditation or qualification relative to asset or systems management
* Proven experience in asset / facility management and project management.
* Strong relationship-building skills and a proactive approach to client contact
* Exceptional customer service focus and internal motivation
