As a Field Sales Manager, you’ll drive sales performance across a key territory, strengthen partnerships with major retail customers, and ensure in‑store execution is consistently on point.
About the role:
This position is centred on Key Account Management, business development, and in‑store execution. You’ll coordinate merchandising activity, support customer needs, and bring strategic insight to every interaction. Key Responsibilities:
* Execute sales development plans across major retail customers and drive in‑store performance across the territory.
* Coordinate with a third‑party merchandising vendor to optimise refill execution, sales activity, and KPI achievement, including regular performance discussions and corrective actions when required.
* Build and maintain strong multi‑level relationships with key account stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities and developing tailored business development plans.
* Present range solutions, value propositions, and support new product, catalogue, and promotional initiatives.
* Monitor warranty, returns, and service processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Support product knowledge and competency development for internal teams, resellers, and merchandising staff.
* Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify product gaps, trends, and growth opportunities.
* Assist with customer range reviews and seasonal product selections.
* Prepare and deliver regular business reports to management.
* Represent the business at industry trade events and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support sales growth and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
You bring extensive experience in retail hardware business development, with a proven ability to sell into major Home Improvement, DIY, irrigation, and non‑traditional hardware channels, supported by strong product knowledge in watering and irrigation.
Your skill set includes advanced Key Account Management, strong commercial and analytical capability, confident negotiation and presentation skills, and the ability to build productive customer relationships while working effectively with indirect sales and merchandising partners.
