Your Team
The Risk Technology team is comprised of passionate individuals who work collaboratively with Risk Management and Corporate Services data consumers to ensure the best possible value for our IT spend.
The Solution Architecture Chapter within Risk Technology provides technology strategy and solution architecture services to our risk and data business, and supporting technology teams covering;
* Financial Risk – Credit Risk, Traded and non-traded Market Risk
* Non-Financial Risk – Operational Risk and Compliance
* Models and Visualisation – Risk Modelling, Model Lifecycle Management, and Visualisation
* Risk Treasury and Finance Data Platform – payload delivery and data models, data quality, controls and governance, self-service data consumption and data consumers
Key responsibilities:
* Develop solutions and associated architecture and design documents that are aligned to domain architectures, have buy in from key stakeholders, maximise the re-use/leverage of enterprise assets and actively reduce the areas of operational risk
* Data and semantic model design: Support squads in adopting the architecture from Enterprise data teams and lead the design and building of data models to enhance data storage, usage, and reporting across the Operational Risk and Compliance Function.
* AI solution Development and Integration : Work closely with AI Innovation and Product squads to bring the practical AI and automation features into the platform.
* System integration: Help ensure our systems are well integrated – internally, SaaS products and third-party services.
* Cloud architecture: Designing cloud-native solutions that make our tech stack scalable, secure and adaptable.
* Technical delivery support: Provide technical oversight across all squads, helping translate requirements into actionable solutions. Act as a Product manager under the platform product.
* Emerging AI, AWS experimentation enablement: hands-on knowledge of emerging AI and AWS concepts (Langfuse, MCP etc) to help team to adopt new technologies and increase the delivery speed.
Skills and Experience
* Senior level experience in a Solutions Architecture role, ideally gained in a technology consulting type role and within Financial Services
* Significant design experience, or experience in guiding design, as well as developing conceptual and applied architectures, including assessment of new technologies and alignment to business strategies
* High level of communications skills, including the demonstrated ability modelling and communicating models as a means of articulating concepts in Architecture
* Experience in operating effectively as part of cross-functional teams within an Agile working model and within large, complex organisations
* Experience in working across a number of technical domains with the ability to 'deep dive' where required and ensure correct solutions are implemented
* Experience with data management, data integration, data controls, and regulatory data governance practice, process and vendor technologies – including data federation, data virtualisation, metadata and data catalogue management
* Data analytics, model development, and model lifecycle management practices, processes, and vendor technologies
