About the Role
The Lifeguard role is a key position in our centre, responsible for ensuring a safe swimming environment for all visitors. As a Lifeguard, you will be patient, focused and friendly to keep pool-users informed and safe.
Duties of the Lifeguard role include:
• Supervising a large aquatic space while proactively ensuring a safe environment in and around the pool area
• Maintaining concentrated observation of pools and patrons to anticipate and respond to problems
• Ensuring facility rules are being obeyed whilst at the same time educating facility users about safe aquatic practices
• Carrying out intervention and preventative action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patrons, the facility and equipment
Required Skills and Qualifications:
We are seeking motivated, organised and proactive Lifeguards to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and all facility users.

Essential Qualifications:
Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate — funding may be available. Additionally, HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and HLTAID011 Provide First Aid qualifications are essential.
